Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic brought relevant psychological consequences to the population. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the presence of anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in moderate to severe post-COVID-19 patients, one month and three months after hospital discharge. A prospective cohort study was carried out with 101 patients over 18 years of age post-COVID-19; The Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) and the Davidson Trauma Scale (DTS) were applied. The results show that the percentages of depression decreased from 26.1% to 10.9%, the average anxiety decreased from 29.7% to 15.8%. The mean PTSD decreased from 26.7% to 10.9%. The mean measurement of depression was higher in women, people with basic education and who do not work. The analyzes carried out showed that depression is the main psychological sequelae in COVID-19 survivors, which could have consequences on the patient's quality of life and health.
